What's On In 3/4

Footy Colours Day
Students came to school proudly wearing their favourite sporting colours. They ranged from footy and rugby to basketball, netball, and soccer. It was a vibrant display of team spirit and community pride!
A highlight of the day was the footy clinic run by the Mitcham Football Club, where students got active and learned new skills.
It was a fun and energetic way to finish off the term, well done to everyone who joined in the celebration!
Colour Fun Run
What a spectacular burst of colour and energy! Our Colour Fun Run was a huge success, with students running, walking, and dancing their way through a course filled with colour, laughter, and fun.
It was fantastic to see everyone getting involved, showing great spirit, and enjoying the chance to be active in such a vibrant way. The smiles were as bright as the powder flying through the air!
A big thank you to all the staff, volunteers, and families who helped make the day so memorable. What a brilliant way to celebrate the end of term!
Chess Competition
We had a few year ¾ students participating in the recent Chess Competition which brought together some of the sharpest minds in the school! Students showed impressive focus, strategy, and sportsmanship as they battled it out across the boards.
It was great to see players of all levels challenging themselves and learning new tactics. Congratulations to Alexander, Rayaan and Liam who took part.
STEM challenges
Our students finished last term taking part in a series of exciting STEM Challenges, putting their problem-solving, teamwork, and creativity to the test!
From building and testing bridges to designing efficient catapults in
Reading Life
As part of our Reading sessions, students reflected on the most meaningful books they’ve encountered in their lives so far. Each student thoughtfully selected eight books that were special to them and explained why these stories stood out.
Their reasons were truly heartwarming, and they ranged from treasured memories and inspiring characters to stories that sparked imagination and offered a place to escape.
It was a wonderful celebration of the power of reading and the personal connections we make with books.
