Grandparents’ Picnic

Students in Primary Ensembles will be delighting guests of the College at the upcoming Grandparents’ Picnic on Thursday 16 October. String Orchestra, Mini Minors, Year 6 Band, Year 5 Band, Primary Singers and Wanju Voices will perform according to the schedule below:

12:15pmInstrumental students collect instruments from the Performing Arts Centre and meet directors in the Library Courtyard to unpack and tune.
12:30pm

String Orchestra and Mini Minors perform

Year 5 and Year 6 Bands marshal

12:45pmYear 5 and Year 6 Bands perform
1:00pmPrimary Singers marshal
1:10pmWanju Voices marshal
1:30pmPerformances conclude. Instrumental students must return their instruments to the Performing Arts Centre.

When not performing or marshalling, students are welcome to be seated with their families to enjoy the picnic. Students will be directed to marshal via the PA System, so students are encouraged to listen carefully for announcements so as not to miss their performances.

 

Students must ensure that all instruments are collected and returned to the Performing Arts Centre to prevent loss and damage on the day. All students may wear their normal Thursday uniforms.

Catholic Performing Arts Festival

Congratulations to the Year 4 Musical – Hippity Hop – staff and students on being awarded a Certificate of Excellence (should this be egg-cellence?) in the recent Catholic Performing Arts Festival – Primary Musical – Full Production!

Year 11 Recital Night

Applications to perform in the Year 11 Recital Night are now open! Held in the Gonzaga Barry Lecture Theatre on Wednesday 29 October from 7:00pm, the Year 11 Recital Night is open to any Year 11s who take weekly lessons on an instrument or voice, performing to an audience of family and friends. We hope you can join us for this memorable night!

 

Applications to perform close on Thursday 23 October at 4:00pm. Please contact the Music Department with any queries.

Chapel Choir

The Chapel Choir is open to all Years 1 to 12 students who love singing, with a focus on liturgical music. Rehearsals commence at 7:30am in the Chapel with Ms Haydon and Mr Johnston on Fridays. Chapel Choir then sings at Community Mass (commencing at 8:00am). Secondary students who sing in the choir may include this time in their Roncalli Service hours.
