Principal's Award - Henry Ross

This award recognises a student who has displayed, with consistency, the Borinya Expected Behaviours of Courageous, Resilience, Inclusive and Curious in all aspects of their Schooling. In class and during break times, in gathering, and within the broader community.

Community Spirit Award - Dylan Graham

The Community Spirit Award is a prestigious award which honors a former and founding student of Borinya, Josh Meloury-Kaup. Students who receive this award embody the values of Borinya being Courageous, Resilient, Inclusive and Curious in the way they approach their learning and support of others, by the way they interact with their peers and adults and, by the way they represent themselves in the community. They are emerging leaders at Borinya and beyond.

Sustainability Award - Wil Lane

Landcare Sustainability Award - Jade Scown

These students has demonstrated a passion to engage in caring for the Mullinmur Billabong area. They have always `stepped up’ when there has been work to be done. They are enthusiastic, helpful and a positive influence to their peers.

Numeracy Award - This award is for a student working with resilience, patience and a willingness to problem solve. They will seek assistance and have progressed significantly in their Numeracy skills.

Literacy Award - This award is for a student demonstrating resilience, patience and a willingness to problem solve. One who will seek assistance and has progressed significantly in their Literacy skills.

Encouragement Award - This student is Courageous to dare to learn and to change. This student continues to be Resilient, to bounce back in the Borinya program. They may not be there yet, but they are `having a go’. The qualities we recognise in their efforts may include peer/staff relationships, engagement in learning, problem solving or receiving support/feedback to make positive changes

Change Award - This student is solution focused when dealing with problems and is reflective when challenged. This student has accepted their personal challenges and sought and applied positive and effective strategies for change. This could include significant improvement in peer and staff relations, attitude to learning, engagement in the program or transition to work/training or education.
