School Council Report

From our School Council President

2023 Annual Report Presentation

School Council’s third meeting of the year took place on the 24th April.  The sole agenda item was the presentation of the 2023 Annual Report.

The Annual Report provides an overview of the school, a summary of NAPLAN outcomes as well as an overview on wellbeing, engagement and other activities in the school community in 2023. The Annual Report is available on the website and I encourage all parents to scan over the report.

For me, the highlights of the Annual Report were:

  1. A well-prepared presentation demonstrating the depth of our broader leadership team, which extends beyond our Principals to include Learning Specialists in Literacy (Chrissy Temple), Numeracy (Sue Kelly) and Data & Achievement (Steven O'Callaghan) as well as Lisa Cascun (Business Management).  The School has very strong and experienced leaders in the administration of the school and specialist areas of the curriculum driving outstanding results.
  2. Excellent NAPLAN results that consistently exceed both the results for the State and results of schools the Department of Education deems similar to IPS.
  3. Positive community feedback from students and parents.

On behalf of the school community, congratulations to our entire team in delivering these results. The 2023 Annual Report will be published shortly on the school website when   cleared by the Department of Education.

If anyone has any questions on the Annual Report, or other School Council matters, feel free to contact me.

regards
