Year One

Time Flies When You're Having Fun: Year Ones Dive into the World of Telling Time!

Our Year Ones are having a blast diving into the world of telling the time! Recently, we have been learning about the features of an analogue clock and how we use these to read the time. Students have been practising reading and creating 'o'clock' and 'half past' times, mastering both analogue and digital clocks along the way.

This week we began talking about the various activities in our school and home lives that take hours, days, weeks and months.

Students have been having so much fun experiencing time and here are some of their reflections:

This term students have begun using Mathletics during class. Students now have their login details in their home reading satchels which will allow them to access it from home. They have access to a range of activities covering all curriculum areas which students can independently practise at home.
