Year 6 Leadership Update

Each week, our Year 6 students will develop their journalistic skills by writing a report for our newsletter. This will share what they have been learning as a part of their Year 6 leadership sessions. This week it is the turn of Apurva (5/6G) and Scarlett GH (5/6L)

As we all know, Market Day is coming up, on the 24th of May and here are some of our latest updates.

The grade 6’s have already started putting up their Market day posters around the school, here are some of examples of what you might see:

More promotions to come! Listen out for more information on Market day in assembly on Friday!

We are still requesting donations for each stall. Please bring donations to the office.

Donations can include:

  • Halloween decorations for the Haunted House
  • Honey donations for Groovy Smoothies
  • Coloured hairspray for Sunflower Styles
  • Chocolate blocks for the Wonka’s Chocolate Toss
  • Ice cream cones for the ice cream stall
  • Cakes for the Dalt Wisney Bakery stall

Let’s hear from Saachi (5/6G) about what her group is up to in preparation for market day;

‘We are working hard to make the decorations for our stall. We are working on the golden tickets for a special prize option on the chocolate toss’.

Now, let’s have a talk about their buddy sessions!

In Buddies, the year 5’s have been coming up with some of their own activities to entertain and have fun together with the preps. Some of the buddies decided to pair up and work all together in a group to create something for Mothers and Special Person day.
