Assistant Principal's Report

School uniform

Our school uniform plays an important role in creating a positive and focused learning environment for all students. By wearing the uniform, children develop a sense of belonging and pride in being part of our school community. It helps reduce distractions and peer pressure related to clothing choices, allowing students to concentrate more fully on their learning. A consistent dress code also promotes equality, ensuring that all children feel included and valued. We appreciate your support in reinforcing the importance of wearing the school uniform correctly each day, as it contributes to a safe, respectful, and proud school culture.

The school emblem was developed in 1978. There was a competition which asked all students from Grade 3-6 to design a logo. The winner was a Grade 5 boy. The ship’s wheel reflects Warrnambool’s affinity with the sea and sailing ships, and is symbolic of the school’s role in steering our students in the right direction in life.

Students also developed the motto matching WEPS:

W – Where

E -  Effort

P – Produces

S - Success
