Year 9 and 10 Sydney Science Excursion
Week 4 saw our Year 9 and 10 students head to Sydney for an exciting Science excursion packed with learning, adventure and new experiences. Students visited ANSTO, Sydney Sea Life Aquarium, Taronga Zoo, the Australian Museum and the Sydney Cricket Ground, providing them with opportunities to explore a range of careers and industries where science plays an important role.
The excursion wasn't all about learning, however! Students also enjoyed Indoor Rock Climbing, TreeTops Adventure, a movie experience, and some time shopping, making it a fantastic balance of education and fun.
Our students represented Inverell High School exceptionally well throughout the excursion. They were respectful, enthusiastic and well behaved, with TreeTops Adventure staff commenting that our Inverell High students were one of the most supportive groups they had ever welcomed to the centre. This is a wonderful testament to the students and the way they supported and encouraged one another.
It was a fantastic opportunity for students to experience new environments, investigate potential career pathways and make lasting memories with their classmates. A big thank you to all staff and students who helped make the excursion such a successful and enjoyable experience!
