Student Support Services

This term, the college ran a six-week Tuning in to Teens™ program for parents and carers.
The program is designed to support families in understanding and responding to their young person’s emotions, with a strong focus on building connected relationships, improving communication, and supporting emotional regulation at home and at school.
Across the six weeks, parents explored: • how to recognise and respond to their teen’s emotions • strategies for emotion coaching during challenging moments • ways to stay connected, even when relationships feel strained • supporting their teen’s wellbeing and resilience over time.
We would like to sincerely thank the parents who participated for their commitment and openness.
Their engagement highlights the strong partnership between home and school in supporting our young people.
We are pleased to share that Tuning in to Teens™ will be running again next year. Families who may be interested in taking part in the next intake are encouraged to monitor Compass communications for information about the next program intake in 2026.
