Learning and Teaching

Teaching and Learning at This Time of Year
As we move into the final weeks of the school year, our classrooms are filled with a wonderful mix of reflection, consolidation and celebration. This is an important time for students as they build confidence in what they have learned, revisit key skills and prepare for the transition into their next year of schooling.
Across the school, teachers are supporting students to revisit essential literacy and numeracy skills while continuing to provide rich learning experiences that encourage creativity, critical thinking and curiosity. Students are engaging in hands-on tasks, collaborative projects and opportunities to apply their learning in meaningful ways.
It is also a time when students reflect on their personal growth, academically, socially and emotionally. They are encouraged to recognise their achievements, set goals and celebrate the effort they have put into their learning throughout the year.
Teachers are currently preparing end-of-year reports, which highlight each child’s progress and growth. These reports offer valuable insight into your child’s learning journey and help guide planning for the year ahead.
As always, we appreciate the ongoing partnership between home and school. Your support, whether through reading at home, encouraging good learning habits or engaging in conversations about school, makes a significant difference.
We look forward to a productive and positive end to the school year as we continue to nurture confident, capable and curious learners.
Have a great week!
Kind regards
Megan Barber
