Dear Parents, Carers and Supporters
Next year brings a few changes to our class structure, and we wish to reaffirm our commitment to providing exceptional learning experiences and strong support for every student at St Joseph’s.
To reflect current enrolment trends, the number of classes will be reduced. Next year’s structure will be:
| Year Level | Teacher(s) |
|---|---|
| F/1 | Miss Lauren Sortino |
| 1/2 | Miss Maree Johns |
| 3/4 | Miss Amy Eade |
| 5/6 | Ms Yvette Lupa (4 days) & Teacher TBC (1 day) |
Additional Support:Mrs Susan Kerlin and Mrs Cheryl Schwab will assist in Years 3/4 and 5/6 during English and Maths sessions, working closely with teachers to strengthen learning outcomes.
Specialist Teachers: Mrs Jessica Carmichael and Ms Olivia McEvoy will continue in their current roles.

Our evidence-based practices will continue:
✔ Ongoing monitoring of student progress
✔ Targeted intervention and “top-up” sessions
✔ Routines that help students be Ready to Learn
✔ Clear expectations for positive engagement
Research shows teacher expertise and classroom conditions have a greater impact on learning than class size.
Despite structural changes, students will still enjoy:

Earlier this week we were thrilled to receive our compensation for working at the Elmore Field Days.
This year our work raised $2808, so thank you to the parents and friends that stood at the ticket gates across the three days. We covered 48 shifts and had fun working together.
Funds raised will contribute to our next two projects - bitumen upgrade and the covering of the rock/dirt wall.
On Wednesday families received a note with information about the End of Year Celebration.
We ask that this is returned by Wednesday 3rd December so final plans can be made.

We are seeking a parent helper to continue coordinating Book Club in 2026. This is a wonderful opportunity to support our children’s love of reading and help them access a wide range of books.
We would also like to express our sincere thanks to Shelley MacFarlane for her dedication and commitment over the years in ensuring all children had the opportunity to enjoy and benefit from Book Club. Her contribution has been greatly appreciated by our school community.
In the next newsletter we will have 2026 dates and return to school information.
Thanks for your ongoing support.
