Interview with Jenna Horler Year1 Teacher

How long have you worked at BNPS?

I started working at BNPS in 2009!  This will be my 17th year at the school.

Who Inspires you?

Many people inspire me on a daily basis! I am constantly in awe of how people strive to be the best version of themselves.

If you weren't a teacher, what career would have you pursued?

I wanted to be either a Paramedic or a Policewoman.

What is your favourite thing to do on weekends?

On weekends I like to spend time with my two children. We love bike rides, beach walks with our dog Mali and spending time with extended family.

Are you an early bird or a night owl?

Hmmm I'm certainly not a night owl. I turn into a pumpkin if I'm not in bed by 9.30pm!

What is something that your students might be surprised to learn about you?

That I have two children who attend BNPS.

What recently made you smile?

 My children constantly make me smile. Last night my children were trying to teach their 2 year old cousin how to catch. Their patience and encouragement filled me with joy!

What would you like to say to the students at BNPS?

I am the luckiest teacher at the school. I am so excited for the year ahead and can't wait to watch the children in 1A grow and flourish.
