Third edition of FPS’ Fantastic Fête newsletter!
CHANGE OF DATE! 9th NOVEMBER 2024
285 Napier St Fitzroy 12-4pm
SPREAD THE WORD!
Thanks to Maria Garcia with the help of Sophie Audren, Leah Mariani and our FPS students, our poster is finalised and ready to be spread around the community! Doesn’t it look awesome?
Nelson Alexander will be organising the billboards to go up around our school but we would love your help to get the posters up around the local shops, on an old corflute in the front of your house, posted on your local Good Karma network and circulated round to your friends and family! Let’s make this fete as fantastic as possible ! A link to the electronic file is here!
FAIRYFLOSS/BARBE À PAPA BROUGHT TO YOU BY LA CRÊPE!
We are so excited to announce that new local business La Crêpe has generously donated FPS a fairyfloss machine! That means, we will be making LOTS of fairyfloss or barbe à papa at our fete! Huge thanks to Hayley Bateman and André Stephan for organising this!
La Crèpe is a charming French crêperie nestled in the heart of Richmond, serving up delectable sweet crêpes, savory galettes and timeless French beverages. We would love it if the FPS community could pay La Crepe a visit to show them our deep appreciation for their support of FPS!
MARQUEES AND TABLES
We are still on the look out for another school or business to assist us with supplying about 25 marquees and 30 trestle tables for the day. If anyone has any contacts (beyond those schools that are part of the “Fete Collective” or Wales St), please let us know!
FPS 2024 SILENT AUCTION AND RAFFLE CALL OUT
Do you, a family member or friend own their own business? Or do you have a friendly relationship with a local business you could ask that would happily support FPS by donating goods or services (e.g voucher) to the Fitzroy Primary School Fete online silent auction? If so we’d love you to reach out! The more neighbourhood connections we have the better!
You can provide them with a letter in English, French and our Donations flyer to provide them with more information about FPS and our fete.
In return, we will advertise their business on the silent auction online site. Useful information you can provide is:

-a short description (with dimensions if relevant) to help bidders be enticed
-$ value to help bidders
-send voucher donations to:fitzroyprimaryfete@gmail.com
Donations would be appreciated by Oct 12
Any donations are welcome from small to large, think coffee cards, dining, movie, classes or experiences vouchers. Goods provided can include hampers or items like a new waffle maker!
The online silent auction will close Sunday Nov 10 the day after the Fete and winning bidders will be notified.
For further information please don’t hesitate to contact Sally or Marine on fitzroyprimaryfete@gmail.com
