Trading Game Final
Wednesday after school saw the final of Trinity College's inaugural trading game competition! With five of the fiercest traders all vying for top spot, and the $50 ultimate teens voucher thanks to the HASS department.
Competition was stiff and the market wasn't too volatile with the students all pretty accurately predicting the approximate end price, as the market hoovered around the 50 mark and that's what the end score turned out to be.
The winner Alex Sowman traded loud and traded often, which proved to be a strong strategy. Ryan Murphy attained the second place $20 canteen voucher with quiet but thoughtful trades and Cooper Poustie scored the third place $10 canteen voucher with some quick trading after a sluggish start to the game. Mr Gray has been very impressed with the enthusiasm and quick-thinking ability of the students over the last 3 weeks, thank you gentlemen.
Winter Sleepout
Last Friday's Winter Sleepout raised $3,385 for the Feed the Little Children Charity in Broome. Combined with the $2,181 raised from the Year 11 sausage sizzle, Trinity College will be proudly donating a total of $5,566 to Feed the Little Children!
A heartfelt thank you to everyone involved in making this possible. It's a fantastic achievement, and the funds raised will go directly to supporting a truly worthy cause. Look at how fresh our students were after sleeping on the cold concrete this time last week!
