This week St George's Anglican Grammar School had the pleasure of welcoming Red Frogs, an organisation dedicated to safeguarding young people and providing them with essential life skills.
Their visit focused on equipping our Year 11 and Year 12 students with the knowledge they need to navigate the challenges they may face as they move towards the end of their school years.
In a session with our Year 11 students, the Red Frogs team provided valuable insights on staying safe at parties and social gatherings.
They emphasised the importance of looking out for their mates and making responsible choices, particularly as the festive season and significant school events, such as the School Ball, approach. The students were engaged and took away much practical advice on how to enjoy themselves responsibly while ensuring the safety of those around them.
For our Year 12 students, the session focused on the upcoming Leavers' celebrations. Red Frogs shared tips on how to stay safe and make the most of this significant milestone without compromising their well-being. The discussion covered topics such as looking out for each other, making informed decisions, and knowing where to turn for help if needed.
We are grateful to Red Frogs for their time and dedication in supporting our students. Their visit has undoubtedly left a lasting impact, empowering our Year 11s and 12s with the knowledge and confidence to make positive choices in the months ahead.
As we prepare to vote in our new Student Guild for 2025, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to this year’s Student Guild for their exceptional work and dedication throughout 2024. Their tireless efforts have significantly enriched the school experience for all students at St George's Anglican Grammar School.
Over the past year, the Student Guild has gone above and beyond, organising a variety of events that have brought our school community closer together. From vibrant social gatherings to creative fundraising initiatives, every event has reflected their commitment, leadership, and passion for making our school a better place.
We are incredibly proud of the Student Guild's achievements this year. Their leadership and dedication have set a high standard for future student leaders, and we are confident that their legacy will continue to inspire others for years to come.
Thank you, 2024 Student Guild, for your outstanding contributions to our school community. Your efforts have made a lasting impact, and we eagerly look forward to seeing the new Student Guild build upon the strong foundation you have laid.
