International Department

Our International department has been busy over the last few months with a variety of events taking place.

Mid Term Celebrations

At the start of term 3, we welcomed 10 new International students to the College ranging from Years 7-10.

To celebrate our new students, we held a pizza lunch and played games and they all introduced themselves and got to know our current students.

We also presented some awards to students who had 100% attendance for the first half of the year and also presented awards for 100% of work handed in on time.

It was a lovely way to celebrate our international students.

We have a celebrated birthdays all throughout the year and in the last month we had 4 of our students all turning 18 in September.

A big Happy Birthday to all who have celebrated so far this year.

Mid Autumn Festival:

TheMid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival or Mooncake Festival, is a harvest festival celebrated in Chinese culture. It is held on the 15th day of the 8th month of the Chinese lunisolar Calendar with a full moon at night, corresponding to mid-September to early October of the Gregorian Calendar.

On this day, the Chinese believe that the moon is at its brightest and fullest size, coinciding with harvest time in the middle of autumn.

All students were welcomed to come and share a moon cake at break time.

Book week/Culture Celebrations

Book parade and culture dress up day was held on Friday August 23rd.

The students had the option to dress up as a book character or in their culture dress.

Jules, Helen and Helian look the part on this day.

Exams

Exams are just around the corner for our Year 11 and 12 students.

We wish all our students the very best with the preparation and sitting of the exams.
