5/6 Camp to Anglesea

We are delighted to report that the recent 5/6 camp to Anglesea, held from Monday to Wednesday, was a resounding success! While the journey to Anglesea involved a lengthy bus ride, our students managed the travel very well and were full of energy and excitement for the adventures that awaited them.

On Day 1, the students participated in a range of engaging activities designed to challenge and inspire them. They tackled a low ropes course, which tested their balance and teamwork, enjoyed minor games that encouraged cooperation, and took part in archery, which sharpened their focus and precision. The day was rounded off with initiative activities that fostered problem-solving skills and teamwork.

Day 2 was a highlight of the camp, as we spent the entire day at the beach. The students had a blast playing beach cricket, constructing impressive sandcastles, and taking a surfing lesson. The process of putting on wetsuits was a humorous challenge, but the staff from Go Ride a Wave were exceptional. Their patience and expertise made the surfing experience enjoyable, and we would highly recommend their services to other groups.

On our final day, Day 3, we indulged in a chocolate tour, which was both educational and delicious. The students were fascinated by the chocolate-making process and enjoyed sampling a small treat. This sweet ending was a perfect complement to the overall experience.

Throughout the camp, we were very impressed with how well the students adapted to each new activity and challenge. The camp staff did an excellent job ensuring that everyone was well-fed and comfortable, which contributed greatly to the overall success of the trip.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the 5/6 staff, ES, and placement students who worked tirelessly to make this camp a memorable experience for our students. Their dedication and enthusiasm were evident throughout the trip. A very special thank you goes to Petrina Caldwell, whose outstanding organization and planning were crucial in making this camp such a success.

Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to many more enriching experiences for our students in the future!
