Around the College

Momentos Fantasmas

The Drama Department has been so busy over the past three months. We had great success with Momentos Fantasmas last term, selling out both nights with many positive reviews from staff, parents and students. The show was the last performance the Year 12 drama students and I will undertake at Endeavour College. After three years of productions, spending many weekends and lessons together, we have become a really close family. So many tears, laughs and smiles, shared together. We would like to thank Martin Meinel, Cameron Barrett, and Miles Pennington for bringing the lighting, sound, and projection to life. We would also like to thank Cathy Chen, for her efforts in sourcing props, or making them herself, helping put together the extraordinary set. I also need to thank Mr Richards for spending so much time working on this production, always trying his best to make us shine on stage. We couldn’t have sold out both shows without him. I also want to thank all of the cast as we have stuck together over this term and shared many moments that have grown our relationships and created new ones. All the best for the Year 11s and 10s for your next production at Endeavour Collage.

I am sure we'll be back as old scholars to watch your performances.

P.E. Week Summary

This term started with P.E. Week, where we incorporated a range of activities to get students active and outside to celebrate all things physical education.

At recess we held ‘Just Dance’ Activities in the Mall where many students participated, showing off their dance moves while encouraging their friends to join in.

At lunch time, numerous activities ran across the week, from Half-Court Shot, Longest AFL Kick, Cross Bar Challenge and many more.

Lots of involvement was seen throughout all year levels which was great to see.

Later in the week, the annual Staff vs Students Volleyball and Netball games were played.

The staff unfortunately thrashed the students in Volleyball winning three sets to zero!

However, the students were able to get one back in the Netball winning by 5 points despite being down at halftime

A casual day was held on the Thursday to raise money for the MND Foundation. Students were encouraged to dress as their favourite athlete or represent their favourite sports team.

Overall, it was a successful week and was great to see student willingness, participation, and involvement throughout P.E. Week.

Thanks to all those who helped and made this P.E. Week possible.

SpikeIT Volleyball Competition

Last Friday Endeavour held its fourth annual Spike It! Volleyball Tournament.

This year we had 15 teams, and 68 students participate.

It was another very successful night with lots of high-quality volleyball played.

The Senior Girls Division was won by a team comprised of Year 10 and 11s (Angelina, Lan, Gabby, Malisa and Suri). A Year 8 and 9 girls' team (Yu-Julia, Sarina, Eva and An) won the Middle Girls Division. Victory was claimed in the Senior Boys Division by a Year 12 Boys team (Ethan, Lachlan, Liam, Blake and Rylan), and a Year 9 boys team won the Middle Years Boys Division (Anthony, Sam, Biak, Jack and Khoa).

A big thanks to the P.E. staff for supporting this event!

The P.E. staff cooked up a tasty barbeque dinner for all to eat at the end of the evening.

If you missed out this year, keep a lookout for next year’s Spike it! Volleyball Tournament.

Old Scholar Reunion:

Class of 2004 and 2014

Last Saturday evening, old scholars, partners and past staff members gathered for the 10 and 20 Year Reunion to reconnect and reminisce.

Everyone was eager to catch up and revisit their old stomping ground.

All were in awe of the sheer progression of the College, and a handful even immersed themselves in VR.

We've entered a new legacy era within our ECOS (Endeavour College Old Scholars) community, with old scholars returning as parents. A true testament to this strong, vibrant and welcoming community.

We're looking forward to continuing to foster and strengthen our ECOS community and establish further points of connection.
