Biketober

In Term 4 St Bernard’s will take part in the Biketober Competition! Biketober is a month-long campaign in October to encourage students to ride, scoot, and travel actively to school. We will be competing against 11 other local Merri-bek schools, so we need your help to top the leaderboard! Each Wednesday, beginning Wednesday 9th October, student leaders will visit classrooms and collect our school data about how students have travelled to school.

We will keep you updated on the weekly challenges throughout the month, so for now – pump up your kid’s tyres, get a practice ride in over the holidays if you’d like, and get ready for some fun!

PS. Biketober is for everyone – if you want to go in the draw to win a $4000 holiday and a heap of other prizes, adults can sign up  as an individual or with your workplace here - www.lovetoride.net/merribek There is no requirement for students to sign up through the website to participate.

Mathematics - useful links

Below are two links that may be useful to use at home to help your child practise some key mathematical skills in number, shape, measurement and other aspects of mathematics. Have a conversation with your child about what they’ve been learning or what they need more practise with and then these links can be great for some short, sharp practise in and around family life!
