 Parent Teacher Interviews

Bookings are currently open in Compass to make a time to meet with your child’s classroom teacher, specialist teachers and tutors and will close this Friday, December 8th at 6 pm.

There are two days available for bookings:

• Monday December 11th (4pm- 6pm)
• Wednesday December 13th (1.45pm - 5pm)  

                                           *School finishes at the earlier time of 1pm

We welcome all families to take this opportunity to make a booking to discuss your child’s progress.

The purpose of the parent teacher interview at this stage of the year is:

• To provide further explanation on reports
• Elaborate on level of achievement and level of progress.
• Elaborate on effort/work habits.
• Elaborate on social/emotional aspects.
• Opportunity for parents to ask questions.

End of Year Reports

End of year student reports will be available to parents this Friday afternoon after 4pm in your Compass portal.  Please take some time to read and discuss this report with your child to celebrate their learning journey throughout this year and their goals as they transition into 2024.

The end of the year written report and parent teacher interview form part of our formal reporting process to parents throughout the year, but parents are reminded that they are welcome to contact their child’s classroom teacher at any stage during the year to discuss their child’s learning.  The best way to do this is to contact your child’s classroom teacher via their Compass email, or direct school email.

Homework

The homework that was sent home last Friday and is due back at school this Thursday, is the final lot of homework for this year.  Once this has been marked by the child’s classroom teacher, homework books will be sent home.

Many thanks to all parents and carers who have diligently supported their child/ren throughout the year in completing homework tasks, including home reading, it is very much appreciated.

‘Meet the Teacher’- 2024 Transition Session

As part of our transition of students between year levels, on Thursday, December 14th, all students in years Prep- 5 will spend some time meeting with their new teacher/s for 2024.

On this day they will also be given a letter from their new teacher/s that will contain information about what the new school year will bring, as well as the teacher’s email contact information.

Students will bring these letters home at the end of the day on December 14th, so please keep an eye out for it and contact your child’s current classroom teacher if you do not receive a copy, as this is how parents and carers are informed of who their child’s teacher is for 2024.
