ART

We’ve had so much fun wrapping up art for the year finishing off some amazing projects we’ve worked so hard on. The F-2 students finished off their beautiful gingerbread houses and don’t they look so real! 

3-6 students also finished off their paper mache and plaster dog, cat and bunny sculptures and look so fantastic! The talent we have at St Pats is amazing! 

STEM

This week in STEM, the 3/4 students had to research different healthy snack recipes. They each chose their favourite recipe and created a poster showcasing their choice. 

The students then presented their poster to the rest of the class, explaining the ingredients needed as well as a brief overview for how to make it. 

Italian

Buon Giorno a tutti!

We have begun learning about Christmas traditions in Italy from La Befana visiting children and delivering sweets in January to the delicious foods eaten in the Christmas period.  We discussed the importance of Il presepe (The Nativity) in Italy where shopping plazas and homes are adorned with the Nativity scene.   We discovered some similarities and differences between an Aussie Christmas and an Italian Christmas, the main difference being the weather!

Sport

In sport we are finishing the term off with our soccer skills. The super star sport Paddys have had a great time practising their soccer passing, dribbling and shooting skills in different drills and games.
