Message From Our Principal

Mrs Jackie Stockdale

It’s hard to believe that the end of the school year has arrived and Christmas is a little over two weeks away! I would like to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for all of your support during the year. It has been another truly memorable year and I am so glad that you and your children were a part of it.

Our Fundraising Committee finished the year with a BANG!!! in the form of gingerbread houses. From all reports it was a super fun night. A very special thanks to Crystal Morris and Kristy Grant for all of their hard work in making this event happen. From what I hear the crowd hope this become an annual event.

This fundraising effort raised money for an item at the top of our students 'wish list'- a Gaga Pit! All of our fundraising efforts this year have got us closer to this wish becoming a reality.

I would like to sincerely thank families for all they have done throughout this year. This year has very much been a team effort and we certainly value and appreciate your support.  Thank you to all the staff who provided a happy and joyous place for our children and for their commitment to deliver the best quality learning and teaching no matter. Thank you to our children who did their best and discovered new talents and developed new skills throughout the year.

As families are leaving us at the end of the year I would like to acknowledge and thank them for being part of our community. We farewell the Keirl Family (Will), the Fitzallen Family (Georgia), the Monk Family (Jack), the Clydesdale Family (Mia), Key Family (Deklen), the Scott Family (Aria) and the Jubin Family (Alex). I know that you will hold in your heart fond memories of your time at St Patrick’s.

We also farewell staff, Annaliese Crosbie and Niky Haw. They have been a much valued part of the St Patrick community and we thank them for all they have given during their time with us and wish them well in their new positions.

Teachers have been busy finalising assessments for Semester Two reports. Your child’s report will reflect their achievements during Terms 3 and 4 this year and will be available through PAM next week. Please spend some time together, reading and reflecting on the report as this clearly demonstrates to your child the value you place on their school life. Don’t forget to celebrate all their hard work, efforts and achievements after reading their reports! Please contact your child’s class teacher if there is anything you wish to discuss on their report.

I can't wait to to welcome our new students and teachers on Orientation Day and see our existing students move up into their new classes for next year. Watching our Senior students meet and spend time with their buddies is always a highlight.

Grade 6 Graduation this year will look a little different than it has in the past. On Tuesday the 12th of December, at 6pm, Grade 6 students and their families will be invited to a Graduation Dinner. The location of dinner is Hurley's Hotel, Kyabram. During this dinner the graduating students will present their individual slideshows.

On Thursday 14th of December, at 1pm, we will have our Grade 6 Award Presentation followed by our End Of Year Mass (at 2pm) which will  conclude with the Grade 6 guard of honour, as they leave their last St Pat’s formal celebration.

Tuesday, December 19th is the final day for students. Children will be dismissed at the normal time of 3:15pm.
