Game Day
The Huddle- North Melbourne Football Club
Game Day is a free school excursion tailored to grades 5 and 6, where students can tackle Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics challenges with an AFL twist. You can be confident that students (and teachers) will have a meaningful and memorable experience as it's been designed by teachers and aligned to the Victorian Curriculum.
Over four quarters, a class of students will work in teams to address a range of challenges that simulate skills like kicking, marking and running. Picture building a pendulum to boot a ball through the goals, all while honing critical thinking and teamwork skills!
Students will also explore concepts such as artificial and emotional intelligence, grit, and mindset as well as identify their own characteristics that will support students ‘to win’ throughout life.

Teacher Testimonial
All 105 of our Grade 6 students had an incredible time at The Huddle's Game Day program. It challenged them to think critically and collaborate on STEM tasks, from building pendulums to kick a ball through for a goal to devising a solution for rolling a marble through from the 50-meter line and navigating Sphero courses using technology. Exploration of concepts like artificial and emotional intelligence, grit, and mindset not only enriched their education but also empowered them to identify personal characteristics crucial for lifelong success.
