Grade 3

A letter from Grade 3

As we approach the end of this term, we can't help but reflect on the amazing year our students have had.

First and foremost, a huge round of applause for our grade 3 superstars who participated in the swimming program. They splashed into the water with enthusiasm, showcasing not only their amazing aquatic skills but also their fantastic teamwork. Their determination and positive spirits truly shone through every stroke. They did an exceptional job for being responsible for their own belongings and by the end of week two, there were no forgotten items.

We understand that the end of the term can be tiring for our students, but let us assure you that their efforts have not gone unnoticed. Despite the occasional yawns and sleepy eyes, they are still happy to be here and participating in our regular work program! We think that maybe the Christmas theme woven into their learning has helped with their engagement.

We want to extend our gratitude to you, the parents and guardians, for your continuous support and encouragement. Your partnership with us in nurturing our students is invaluable. As we wrap up this term, let's celebrate the achievements, growth, and fantastic moments that have made this year truly special.

Here's to an amazing Grade 3 and an even brighter Grade 4 ahead!

Grade 4

Sex Education: Over the past three weeks, students have demonstrated their maturity in the three Sex Ed lessons. Throughout these sessions, students learned about male and female body parts, the diversity of families, and how babies are brought into the world. The grade fours exhibited remarkable maturity during these lessons and they thoroughly enjoyed acquiring new knowledge.

Mathematics: Grade 4 students have been exploring mass and capacity, employing various tools such as scales and measuring cups to assess the weight and volume of different objects.

Literacy: As we wrap up this fantastic year of exploring new concepts in our literacy blocks, it's evident that students have made tremendous strides in both their Writing Revolution and morphology lessons. This week, students completed their final writing assessment for the year, participating in a writing moderation task. Through this assessment, they demonstrated all the hard work and dedication they've invested in improving their writing skills throughout the year.

Merry Christmas! We wish all of our families a wonderful Christmas break with your loved ones.
