Preps

On behalf of the Prep Team, we would like to say a huge congratulations to all of the preps on completing their first year of schooling. Looking back on our year we have seen immense growth and it has been an absolute pleasure teaching this wonderful cohort of students. We have had so much fun, and we wish everyone all the best in 2024!

To all of the Prep Families we would like to say a big thank you for your ongoing support and assistance. It takes a village!

Merry Christmas, enjoy this time with your family and friends. We look forward to seeing you refreshed and ready to go next year.

CFA Visit

On the 24th of November, we had a visit from the Modewarre CFA. Students enjoyed learning about what it takes to be a fire fighter, how to be fire safe, as well as fire ready. They even got to try on real fire fighter clothing!

School Concert

What an amazing night school concert was! We are so proud of everyone for getting up and having a go. It was truly amazing, and the costumes were even better. Thank you to everyone for coming along to support our wonderful prep students, and the rest of the school.

End of year celebration

On Friday the 8th of December it was our celebration day. We started the day with a walk to the Moriac Park where we played on the playground and participated in different games. We were SO lucky with the weather and returned just before the wind and heat hit Moriac. Students 'elfed themselves', creating an elf using their school photo. We had a sausage sizzle and an icy pole and finished the day watching The Grinch. It was a wonderful day!

Wildlife Incursion

On Monday the 11th of December, to conclude our information text unit we had a visit from Xavier who runs Wildlife Exposures. Students were in awe of the amazing native animals that he presented us. Each student had a chance to hold one of the creatures including a sugar glider, crocodile, giant pythons, green tree frog, tawny frog mouth, blue tongue lizard, frilled neck lizard and a river turtle.

All of the students had a smile on their face as they were introduced to all of the animals while learning lots of interesting facts.

Final weeks of prep

In the final weeks of prep, students have participated in lots of Christmas themed activities, including the decorating of Christmas cookies. We made Christmas pudding cookies and reindeer cookies.

Elf on the shelf

Every day, the preps have been waiting in anticipation to see what our classroom elves will do next. Pavlova and Cookie have been wreaking havoc in the classroom, exploding out of their package, toilet papering the classroom, removing name tags and making Mr Randall and Miss Rhodes wear ridiculous Christmas hats.

Prep Graduation

On Thursday the 14th of December, we had our prep graduation. One by one, each student received a certificate for completing their first year of schooling. We've said it once and we'll say it again, we are so incredibly proud of each and every student in our Prep cohort. What an awesome bunch of kids!
