Discover GSG  – A brand new initiative

We are excited to launch this new initiative. Please share with friends and family and encourage anyone who may be interested in joining GSG as a Year 7/2024 student to come along.

Join us for a day in the life of a Year Seven GSG student on Friday 25 August from 8.45am to 3.00pm.

More than just a tour, your child will experience a day of engaging hands-on activities showcasing learning areas including Art, Science, Music, English and more, on our beautiful waterfront campus.

Year Five Camp

The Year Five camp to Pemberton was a wonderful success. The town of towering timbers is a unique environment to explore and a place of natural beauty.

Our students were able to socially interact with each other, whilst in a place away from school. Ensuring social interaction and team building enhances our school values and Christian faith.

Thank you to all the staff who attended, Ms Gracie Laneaux-Neale, Ms Suzanne Youens and Mr Steve Berryman.  It was an enjoyable experience for all who attended.

School Bus Service

The school has been in regular contact with the relevant authorities to improve access to the school bus service from Denmark and Mount Barker. These services provide a vital link to those students who wish to attend Great Southern Grammar.  Some of our families have experienced frustration with the strict eligibility requirements to gain a permanent seat on the bus. The school is expecting changes to the eligibility criteria to be announced prior to the start of next term. Once announced I will inform those parents who are affected.

Financial Assistance

Given the current cost-of-living increases, this will place further financial stress on families. While we work hard to make our fees as clear and transparent as possible, we understand that, for some families, weekly, fortnightly, or monthly instalments are more manageable than lump-sum payments.

If you’d prefer to spread your fees evenly throughout the year, or even extend payments for up to five years after your child graduates, EdStart* might suit you.

If you’re experiencing financial hardship or struggling to pay your account, we’re here to help. Please contact our Business Manager, Mr Andrew Orr, for more information.
