VTAC application webinar recordings available and SEAS/Scholarships applications REMINDER

Watch this Applicant applying through VTAC webinar to learn about making a VTAC application in 2023 including searching courses, pathways and preferences.

Watch VTAC’s 2023 Applicants applying for SEAS and Scholarships webinar to understand the process of applying for special consideration through their Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS) and for VTAC Scholarships.

All Year 12 Domestic students are eligible to apply to SEAS Category 1 and need to check other SEAS categories to see if they’re eligible and what evidence is required. VTAC SEAS and Scholarships applications close 6 October (5pm) but supporting evidence should be uploaded to VTAC by 15 September (last day of Term 3) to allow time for VTAC to review these documents. Year 12s must carefully follow the instructions given by VTAC as they complete their SEAS and Scholarships applications to start organising any supporting documents requested by VTAC. Refer to VTAC’s advice on providing evidence and a statement of support plus giving this Providing a statement of support fact sheet to the person writing the supporting statement. VTAC has now provided this short video showing students how to submit supporting evidence for their SEAS/Scholarships applications by upload to VTAC account or requesting an online statement of support. Year 12s are to use the VTAC app info tab in the Careers channel on Teams for guidance on applying through VTAC.

REMINDER: VTAC information webinars for students and parents

VTAC will be running free webinars to assist both applicants and the school community in understanding various topics relevant to making a VTAC application. Those supporting a Year 12 student during the VTAC application period are encouraged to attend and can find a list of available webinars including links to register below and on the VTAC website here: www.vtac.edu.au/events

Then refer to the below guide listing co-op scholarships in Australia for students starting tertiary study in 2024 taking note a few have closed (these were shared earlier with Yr12s in the Careers channel) and some of these applications close 3 September. Co-op scholarships are generally open to high achievers but even if you’re not sure about this they are worth checking as merit isn’t just given for high academic results.
