Fresh North Queensland Mangoes

Direct from the farm to you!

Support Our Mango Fundraiser

If you love mangoes, here’s your chance to indulge in fresh juicy Kensington Pride mangoes and support our fundraising drive.

We are selling trays of mangoes picked and packed during the premium harvest.

The Product

The Mango Fundraiser only use Bowen Special Mangoes which are more formally known as Kensington Pride Mangoes.  They are packed in a single layer tray and each tray will usually have between 14 and 23 mangoes, with a total tray weight of approximately 7kg.

As well as having a great taste, Mangoes are packed with nutritional goodness – Vitamin C (one Mango contains your recommended daily allowance), Vitamin E, Beta-Carotene, antioxidants, Potassium & B Vitamins.  They are low in fat & Cholesterol free.

When you buy Mangoes from the Mango Fundraiser you know the fruit is coming directly from the farm to you.  Your mangoes aren’t being held for long periods in storage or ripening rooms.

Collection Date

The week of Monday 27 November 2023 - actual collection date and times will be emailed closer to the date.

Mango trays will have to be collected by an adult.

Bunnings Barbeque

Please lock in the date for our biggest event of the year “The Bunnings Barbeque Sizzle”. We will be running the sausage sizzle on the 10 September 2023 (Sunday) between 8 AM and 6 PM at Bunnings Fountain Gate.  

This is an annual PFA fund raising event and all the money we make on the day will be donated to school.

Fathers Day Badminton Tournament 2023

The PFA just had yet another successful Father’s Day Badminton tournament which was spread across 2 days, Aug 12 and 19. Prior to the tournament, the PFA took feedback from students and based on the overwhelming support we decided to go ahead this year.

In total, we had 34 teams play. We would like to give a special shout out to the Year 12 Students who attended the event with their parents, it was wonderful to see them take time off. On behalf of PFA best wishes as you approach your last few weeks in school and good luck for your exams.

We implemented some of the students’ feedback to run a more efficient and fun event by separating teams on the basis of their competency levels, and having new shuttles, which made many games quite intense. Thanks to the all the teams that participated, it was great to see some familiar teams come again and a lot of new teams, we hope you had fun playing.

While the games were played with passion and competitively,  the bonding that could be seen was the reason for having such a tournament. The Finals between Power Rangers and Rising Stars was intense, and it was great to see our defending champion Ria and Manju Kumar make it again to the finals for the second time.

Congratulations to Samuel and Peter Mihalcin who are our 2023 champions.

From the school, huge thanks to Mr Armistead who for taking his time to come and help us. Last but not the least, a huge shout to out to the Volunteers from PFA Shanny, Ansa, Pavitra and Sharath for all the help extended to run the tournament smoothly.

It would be impossible for PFA to organise without the School Support, Thanks Tracey and your leadership team for the assistance.

Next PFA Meeting

The next meeting of the Nossal PFA will be held on Wednesday 06 September 2023, commencing at 7pm. This will be a Zoom meeting, the details of which will be shared near to the date of the meeting.

Uniform Shop

The PFA second-hand Uniform Shop is open on the first Monday of each month (during school terms), as well as the first day of each term. We will be open on Monday 4 September at 8.30am. 

This is our last opening for Term 3, so now is the time to check if summer uniforms need updating for Term 4. 

The shop is located in the Fitness Centre at the rear of the northern (Jean Russell Centre) carpark.

Donations of uniform are very welcome and can be left at Reception.
