Spring Family Day Plant & Produce Market

It’s arrived, it’s THIS Friday, 1st September, starting at 3.30pm-

The Plant and Produce Markets are a fun, quick and easy way to get involved in community events and help raise much-needed funds for our school. Anyone can contribute in helping out on the day or by donating goods for sale. 

Across the year, each Plant and Produce market requests the special assistance of the parents and carers of each year level. This Spring Family Day on 1/9/23, we’re calling on the GRADE 3 Community of Kids & Parents to help!! 

We need the whole school community to get involved in making, creating, or baking our goods to sell. Items for sale can include baked goods (cookies, cupcakes, gingerbreads, slices) craft items (cards, small gifts, plants etc) and anything ‘little’ that could be sold as treats or from your veggie garden including produce, flowers, lemons, herbs etc. 

These items can be brought to the undercover area from 3pm or dropped at the office anytime during the day. Please supply an ingredients list with food items. 

The market runs from approximately 3.30 - 4.15pm.

As this event leads up to Father’s Day, it can be handy timing to grab the BNWPS Dads a little gift in the form of tasty homemade cake, fresh produce or plants! So don’t forget to send the kids in on Friday with some cash to make their purchases after school.

• If you are able to donate baked goods/ treats, plants, crafts or produce, please let us know what and approximately how much on Sheet 1: “List of Goods”
• If you are able to assist on the day with setting up, running and/or packing down the stalls, please put your name on Sheet 2: “Volunteers”

Weeding and Pizza night -

Fri 8 Sept: Come and help get the weeds in Yakai Baring under control. Bring pizza ingredients and drinks, and use the pizza oven to make dinner!

All volunteers at the school need a valid Working With Children’s Check - click this link to apply if you don’t have one. It’s fairly straightforward and free for volunteers.
