What's Happening

Sentral for Parent Portal

Our school is using Sentral for Parents App, to provide parents and carers with targeted news and information relevant to your child/ward. We are no longer using SeeSaw that many parents and carers have previously used to receive information and pictures about classwork.

The parent portal facilitates easy review of student events and attendance while being kept informed of Anson Street School’s news and activities, and will be a simple and effective way of communicating with your child’s teacher.

If you are not already accessing the app, please call the school so we can allocate you an ‘access key’ and help with the set up if needed.

Yvonne 'Toot' Keegan is netball royalty

Our School Champion Toot Keegan was honoured on the weekend for her commitment and dedication to sport in Orange. Toot has been a part of the Orange Netball Association for more than 65 years in many rolls including president, secretary and publicity officer. It only seems fitting to have a stand named after her.

Toot's son Ben said 'I know when we look across at the wall in the grandstand, we will never see just a name, because the name Toot will forever symbolise to us what is great and what is good in this world. To be Toot means to rise above and never give up. It means to laugh, to be humble, courageous and inspirational. But most of all to be Toot means to love and to love unconditionally.'

Such a fitting tribute to an amazing woman.

Annual School Concert - Boot Scootin' Boogie

Students have been learning routines, designing costumes and practising on the stage to bring you a fun-filled concert of leg-slapping, toe-tapping singing, acting and dancing extraordinaire!

Early nerves were quickly replaced with smiles, laughter and a few 'YeeHaa' calls as classes performed for each other in the dress rehearsal.

The concert is presented each year in the last week of term 3 and celebrates the unique and wonderful talents of all students at our school.
