Prep News

From Julia, Prep teacher

Happy first Book Week

For Book Week we read, we crafted, and we had the opportunity to learn with different teachers each day as the Prep Team went into different classrooms for each Reading session. It was great for us to work with students we don’t normally - everyone is doing so much amazing work and has come so far, and the Prep Team especially loved having the opportunity to do Guided Reading with students from other classes and see individual growth in those small groups! The Preps also worked diligently and carefully over multiple sessions to create our beautiful Book Week displays to celebrate the books Market Day and Pig the Pug.

But of course, the highlight of Book Week is Parade Day. These kids did not disappoint! It was a huge, high-energy day and the team would like to thank families for their support and efforts in making the day so special - you really went above and beyond. We loved seeing all of the Preppies dressed as characters from their favourite books and playing as those characters all day.

Digital Technology

We’ve been introducing independent use of Seesaw to the classroom. We hope you’ve enjoyed seeing and celebrating the work that students have been uploading by themselves. It’s not an easy feat - so many boxes to tick along the way! If you would like to practice uploading things from home that your child/ren may like to share, please do!
