CSPS Parents' Association News

Jessica Tuszynski

We have had a jam packed Term 3 with so many events for both our children and parents. I am so proud of our wonderful parent community who have been so involved in bringing you these fabulous events! Together, we have raised over $30,000 for our children, just in Term 3!!!

Like always, if you'd like to get involved, please contact me. The school also has a WhatsApp group with over 80 parents, who are keen to help and we use this platform to call out for volunteers. Some tasks can be as small as picking up supplies for a BBQ.

Term 4 is already shaping up to be another fun filled term with the much  anticipated Colour Run and some other fun events.

Thank you to our amazing parent community for making these events happen! I am so proud of the commitment and engagement of our parents to make CSPS a fun and supportive school not only for our children but also for the parents.

Father’s Day and Special Persons Breakfast

Last Friday, 1st September, we celebrated our community of dads and other special people by inviting them and their children to the school hall for our annual Father’s Day and Special Persons breakfast.

Our principal, Mr Cooper addressed the crowd with his touching rally to build an even stronger community within this group.

We had 400 attendees who enjoyed a breakfast catered by local business Danish Nosh and the PA raised $3,618. Thank you to everyone who came along to support this event.

huge thank you to our core group of volunteers Jo Donaldson, Lianne La Greca, Melinda Reid, Natalie Bloom and Alison Potts and to the extra volunteers who were there from 7am to help set up the event - Zoe Norman, Michael Stojkovic, Debbie Gordon, Danielle Bar, Magda Saccoccio, Jason La Greca, Hedya, Nuri, Gab Profus, Leora Lazarus and Nadine Barkay. Special shout out and thank you to Stephanie Sim also!

Funds raised from this event which will go towards the purchase of a document camera for every classroom. A document camera is a teaching tool which allows for immediate projection and easy viewing of any non-digital documentation on the classroom screen.

Bogan Bingo

On Saturday 26th August we held our major fundraiser for 2023, Bogan Bingo Parents Night. For everyone that was able to attend, the night was an absolute ripper! We are so proud to share that we have raised over $23,000 from both Bogan Bingo and the raffle! This has been the most successful fundraiser we’ve organised for the school, and we’d like to thank all the CSPS community members for getting involved, as well as our amazing sponsors. Proceeds will go to new STEM resources which will be used across Prep to Year 6.

A big thank you to our group of volunteers who organised both the Bogan Bingo night and the raffle - Lauren Fink, Talli Brajtberg, Lindi Israel, Adele Karmy, Aimee Hayblum, Carli Dvash and Anna Matthews who worked tirelessly to organise the event and source raffle prizes.

Sports Team Colours Day & Sausage Sizzle Lunch Fundraiser

Last Day of Term - Friday 15th September

To celebrate what has been an action packed Term 3, on the last day, students will wear their favourite sports team colours and enjoy a sausage sizzle lunch!

This is a school fundraising event. Please ensure payment of the ‘Multi-fundraiser’ levy via Qkr!

Please contact the school office if your child requires one of the following dietary options: Gluten FreeVegetarian SausageKosher Sausage

(If we do not hear from you, your child will receive a beef sausage in bread.)

The school will keep this information on record for future fundraising events. (Please note that this is not necessary if you have previously communicated your child’s dietary requirement for a sausage sizzle fundraiser lunch in 2022).

Lunch orders from Mr Brightside are still available on this day.

Don't forget to wear your sporting team colours (any sport is fine!).

Thanks
