Students in Level 3/4 have been introduced to their Christmas songs that they will be performing towards the end of the year. They have been working on learning the lyrics and getting creative by considering possible choreography. Level 3/4 students have continued to reflect on their Music learning involving musical staffs (both the treble clef staff and the bass clef staff). They have continued to practice the sayings:
'All Cows Eat Grass' (A, C, E, G to recognise the bass clef staff spaces)
'Good Birds Don't Fly Away' (G, B, D, F, A to recognise the bass clef staff lines)
'FACE in the Space' (F, A, C, E to recognise the treble clef staff spaces)
'Every Good Boy Deserves Food' (E, G, B, D, F to recognise the treble clef staff lines)
Students have also continued practicing the sign language for each note and sound on the treble clef staff and utilised the Boomwhackers to play songs replicating these notes and sounds.
Students in Level 5/6 have been introduced to their Christmas songs that they will be performing towards the end of the year. They have been working on learning the lyrics and getting creative by considering possible choreography. Level 5/6 students have continued to learn about space, as an element of Drama, participated in learning the history of music and continued to use body control, good body alignment, balance and coordination when dancing.
Congratulations on another great fortnight of Dance, Drama and Music performing.
Keep up the brilliant work!
Keep shining,
Mrs Oakley.
