Physical Education and Sport
Over the past fortnight, our students have been focussing on the following skills:
Prep – Striking with a light-weight racquet and polo hockey stick
Grade 1 – Throwing and catching with a medium sized ball
Grade 2 – Throwing and catching with a tennis ball
Grade 3/4 – Invasion Games, with a focus on Soccer and European Handball
Grade 5/6 – Target Games
Well done to the 89 grade 5/6 students who participated in Hoop Time on Friday the 18th of August. We entered 11 teams, the most out of any of the schools in our District! Students, staff and parents all had a great day, filled with fun and excitement.
We had a very successful day, with many of our Rookies teams finishing the day undefeated. In the Future Stars section, we had a Rolling Hills Vs Rolling Hills grand final! Congratulations to Mr V and the Rams who won and will now progress to the next level of competition. Our All Stars team finished third.
All students did a fantastic job, representing the School with pride and giving 100% in all games. You should all be very proud of your behaviour, effort, and sportsmanship. Well done!
A HUGE thank you to the staff, siblings and parent helpers for their coaching, scoring and assistance with teams on the day and to all of the parents and friends who came to support Rolling Hills. The day literally would not have run without you!
