Principal Report

Dear families,

I hope this message finds you all well as we approach the end of term.

This week we start our renovation work on the main building toilets. We expect the work to start this side of the holidays and to be completed for when students return after the holidays.

There will be some disruptions and new temporary arrangements for students to familiarise themselves with. We will arrange to discuss this with classes on Wednesday.

The main building boys' and girls' toilets will be closed from 7th September onwards and will be for the rest of the term.

We will be keeping students away from that area while we have building contractors at school.

Week 9

At break time students will use the OSH bathrooms.

In Class time students in 34/56 will use the office disabled toilet.

Grade 2 will use the Boorai toilets all week joining the grade 1 and Prep students.

Week 10 - A slight change again...

Monday to Friday

In Class time students in 34/56 will use the staff toilets.

Thank you for so much fun!

It has been a busy week or two at school with plenty of events to keep students engaged.

We have had Hoop Time for grade 34 and 56 students.

A grade 34 trip to eastland.

We have had swimming weeks.

We have had book week, a book parade, scavenger hunt, author visits and an Open Night.

We have enjoyed including out local Kinder in our fun.

A special persons P&F stall.

We also shared the laptop information with grade 2 families.

A big thank you to all the staff and parents involved in making the last few weeks lots of fun for students.

A calmer run to the end of term is ahead with the last week being a week teachers focus on their planning for the rest of the year. The professional practice days will be covered in this term by replacement teachers. Please excuse any interruptions in week 10.

We also have a few goodbyes on the horizon as we farewell Melissa Schilte and say a temporary goodbye to Kate Warner as she moves to parental leave. Information on her replacement will be shared shortly for Global Studies. Brendan Van Haaster will be on leave for the first 3 weeks of term 4

Wishing you all the best over the coming week.

Craig
