Senior School

VET Information Night

It is with pleasure that I announce we are holding a dedicated Vocational Education & Training (VET) Information Night for Year 10 and 11 Students.

Date: Thursday 24 August (Week 5)

Time: 7pm

Location: Emmaus Performing Arts Centre (EPAC)

Upon Arrival: Please help yourself to a complimentary hot drink from the coffee van and make your way to a seat in the EPAC.

This evening is targeted to Year 10 and 11 students to explore if VET study may be appropriate for them at some stage in their learning journey. These students are not looking at a university pathway directly post-school but have a focus on employability skills in the VET space. This evening will provide opportunities for students (and parents) to investigate VET in Schools options and future career pathways exclusive to the VET space.

As such, interested families are invited to hear what's on offer for Senior Students and connect with VET industry representatives.

The Common Room is not 'common' anymore!

The Year 12 Common Room has recently been renovated, and is a beautiful place to study, as the photos below give testament to. We hope it will inspire our Year 12 students to study hard and be brilliantly successful.

I would like to thank Viv and Esther Amoy who were the instigators of this project, with the help of Alli Storey, Veronica Scheepers, Camryn (Year 12) and Trinity (Year 12). This group worked all weekend to make this happen!

The students are being encouraged to support the use of this space for study and maintain cleanliness. We have created a cleaning roster and expectations sheet for each week of the term for Year 12s to continue keeping this as a beautiful place to study in. We hope that our Year 12 students enjoy this lovely space and appreciate the care and time put into it.
