Glow and Grow

On Wednesday the 13th of September, our teachers and students will welcome parents and families into classrooms for our annual Glow and Grow afternoon.

The aim of the afternoon is for the students to show and discuss two elements of their work -

Glow - work that students are proud of and show achievement of learning goals

Grow - work or a focus for future learning goals

Teachers will be on site to welcome you - please remember that this is not an interview time with teachers, but you may like to make a meeting time if necessary.

Zing Interschool Challenge

We are excited to be planning our Interschool Challenge for Thursday the 21st September.  At the moment we have 55 students from Years 3-6 who are attending.

Details of the event for Years 3-6 parents in on Compass. If you have not yet responded to this event, please check your Compass portal.

Rehearsals for participating students will continue and increase over the next few weeks.

Participating families will receive emails with further information over the next few weeks.

Student Support Dog

Holy Family are considering the introduction of a student support dog into our school community. Recently, these dogs have become increasingly popular in schools and many of our CSBB school neighbours have introduced support dogs to their students.

Student support dogs can be used in a variety of ways to support students within the school - reading with students, on the playground and in the classroom.

At the moment we are investigating the Department of Education guidelines and asking parents to consider our idea. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns regarding children with genuine/diagnoses allergies or fears.
