School and Kindergarten Parents and Friends Association Meeting - Thursday 9th November  

The next PFA meeting will be Thursday 9th November at 9am in the Davey Building Conference Room (school administration building).  Please come along and share your ideas.

SpringFest Online Raffle 

The 2023 SpringFest Ballarat Online Raffle is making a return, and we request your generous support once more. SpringFest Market Sunday - 26th November 

URGENT - WE NEED YOUR HELP! 

 

As beneficiaries of SpringFest Ballarat, Miners Rest Primary School and Kindergarten need to provide the Market Sunday with volunteers.  We are now asking for volunteers to help out on Sunday 26th November from 6am-6pm.

 

Details:

  • Sunday 26th November
  • We will require volunteers from 6am-6pm in shifts 
  • No experience necessary – simply guiding people if they are looking for a particular area/toilet/lost, picking up rubbish/emptying bins

Shifts are:

  • 6am-10am - 8 volunteers required (spots full)
  • 10am-2pm - 6 volunteers required (5 more needed)
  • 2pm-6pm - 6 volunteers required (6 more needed)

Please note you will be required to attend an induction session that is provided by the Rotary Club of Ballarat on either of the following dates:

  • Tuesday 14th November at 6pm in person at the Robert Clark Centre, Ballarat Botanical Gardens
  • Thursday 16th November at 7pm via zoom
  • Thursday 23rd November at 7pm via zoom

Second-hand Uniform Shop - Open every Friday from 2.45pm

The PFA will be running the Second-hand Uniform Shop on a weekly basis, every Friday from 2.45pm. All items can be purchased for a gold coin donation.  If you have any uniform items that are in good condition, you are welcome to bring these along to the shop on a Friday afternoon or can be dropped into the school administration office any time.

Cookbooks - Grow, Harvest, Prepare, Share - $5 per book

The Parents and Friends Association have produced a beautiful, full colour cookbook printed on luxurious high quality paper. This great book is sure to last a lifetime, making it a great memento from our school, kindergarten and community of Miners Rest. All recipes featured in the book have been tried and tested.  The cookbook will be selling for $5.

Student Display Books ***Special Discounted Price $10 each***

Through the PFA, we also have Student Display Folders for sale for $10 each. These are great for storing your child's reports, achievement certificates etc. Both the Display Folders and Cookbooks are available from the School General Office. 

School Lunches – Monday and Thursday through Quickcliq.com.au 

Lunches need to be ordered online through the website www.quickcliq.com.au.  Please note: sauce is provided in each classroom.  Some days, not all items are available or sell out quickly.  We recommend to try and order as early as possible, with orders closing at 8.15am on the day of delivery.
