Over the past two weeks, students have continued with the following units:
Prep – Kicking
Grade 1/2 – Striking: exploring how to hit using different types of bats
Grade 3/4 – Striking and Fielding
Grade 5/6 – Lacrosse
On Thursday the 19th of October, seven students represented Rolling Hills in the Eastern Metropolitan Region Track and Field Championships. Alexa, Amber, Asher, Ava, Cody, John and Kade did an amazing job and achieved the following overall results:
Alexa – 5th shot put, 7th discus
Amber – 6th 1500m, 8th 800m
Asher – 13th triple jump
Ava – 9th triple jump
Cody – 9th 200m
John – 10th shot put
Kade – 12th 80m hurdles
Only 16 students per event, from all of the schools in the Eastern Metropolitan Region, make it to this level of competition. Congratulations to you all on such an outstanding achievement!
OCTOBER
Tuesday 31st – Eastern Metropolitan Region Volleyball finals (5/6 girls team)
NOVEMBER
Friday 10th – Regional Hoop Time finals (5/6 Future Stars: Rolling Hills Rams)
Friday 17th – 5/6 Interschool Sport Fun Day
