BPS Student Advances to the 2023 State Track and Field Championships

Many, many congratulations to Jack De Fina Nash  (Grade 5) who has progressed through the competitive levels of school athletics and will now compete against the state’s finest at the 2023 State Track and Field Championships. 

Jack competes in the 11-year-old long jump event and started his journey through our house competition. He has continued to advance through the district, division and regional finals where he had to compete against 16 other competitors each time and had to finish in the top 2 to advance to the next level. 

Jack jumped a PB of 4.21m at the regional event to finish first.

We wish him all the best on the 1st of November when he will compete at Lakeside Stadium in South Melbourne.
