World Teacher’s Day

On behalf of Box Hill North, I would like to take a moment to acknowledge and celebrate World Teacher Day.  This special day provides us with an opportunity to express our gratitude and appreciation for the incredible work our teachers do day in and day out.

Our teachers play a vital role in shaping the minds and futures of our students. They inspire, motivate, and support our children, going above and beyond to ensure their success. Their dedication, passion, and commitment to the education and well-being of our students are truly commendable.

This year, in particular, our teachers have faced unprecedented challenges and have adapted to new modes of teaching with resilience and creativity. They have embraced technology, implemented innovative teaching methods, and continued to provide a nurturing and engaging learning environment, both in-person and remotely.

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all our teachers for their unwavering dedication and hard work. Your tireless efforts have not gone unnoticed, and we are grateful for the positive impact you have on the lives of our students.

To celebrate World Teacher Day, let us all take a moment to express our appreciation to our teachers. Whether it is a simple thank you note, a kind word, or a small gesture of gratitude, let us show our teachers that their efforts are valued and cherished.

Thank you once again to all our incredible teachers for your unwavering commitment to education. Happy World Teacher Day!

Bush Kinder

Our kinder kids have been enjoying a wonderful experience with opportunity to venture to Frank Sedgman Reserve and engage in a bush kinder program.  This outdoor adventure provides our young learners with a unique opportunity to explore nature, foster independence, and develop a personal connection with the environment.  Congratulations and thank you to our team of staff and parents, who helped ensure this has been a most memorable experience.

Japan 2024

We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for our year 5/6 students: a Japan trip in 2024! This once-in-a-lifetime adventure will provide an immersive cultural experience and an opportunity for personal growth. We kindly ask all interested students to submit their Expression of Interest to Sensei by 9th November. This trip promises to be an incredible educational journey, where students can broaden their horizons and create lasting memories. Don't miss out on this amazing chance to explore the captivating wonders of Japan!

Lunch Time Clubs

We are delighted to share the tremendous success of our lunchtime clubs! Since their introduction, we have witnessed an overwhelming response from our students, who have eagerly embraced these opportunities for personal growth and connection. The clubs have proven to be a valuable platform for our students to engage in new experiences and foster meaningful friendships. As the first round of clubs comes to a close this week, we are excited to announce that new clubs will commence next week, offering even more diverse options for our students to explore their interests.

School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS)

The introduction of SWPBS continues to uphold high expectations both in and out of the classroom. Our students have responded exceptionally well to this program, and it has been a pleasure for our staff to acknowledge and commend them when they demonstrate our school values while interacting with others. The SWPBS initiative has created a positive and respectful school environment, where students actively engage in building strong relationships and demonstrating empathy and kindness. We are proud of our students' commitment to embodying our school values, and we look forward to further fostering these positive behaviours to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all.

Swimming Update

We are fortunate to have secured an exceptional program at PLC to enhance essential water safety skills and swimming techniques.  The program has been intentionally scheduled close to the end of the year in preparation for Summer holidays and to minimise disruption to regular learning programs.  We also have the pool exclusively to our school, allowing our students to concentrate specifically on their program.  Reminders for payment have been distributed via Compass and it is important that this is followed up to ensure your child’s participation in the program.
