From the Principal
Hi everyone!
Welcome to another newsletter - Term 4 is gaining momentum and before we know it we will be at the end of the year!
So we have some exciting news to share about the Fiesta - we raised $71,000! This is absolutely amazing and once again I would like to give a huge shout-out to Michelle and her team for their hard work and dedication over a short period of time - the serious planning only began this year, so to pull off such an impressive amount raised is phenomenal. Thank you again to all of our community for helping us achieve this profit - from helping on the night, through to buying all our auction items.
We are also looking forward to our Art Showcase on the 23rd and 24th of November. The students have worked hard all year, expertly guided by Susan Tate, to create pieces for the showcase. All students will have work displayed and each class across the school has created a collaborative and unique piece of art to auction off. There will be awards to vote on and also the opportunity to purchase the class collaborative pieces at the auction on the 24th. The showcase will be open on the 23rd and 24th of November from 3.45 pm - 5.30 pm for all to come along - students, families and extended families - with a gold coin donation for entry.
We have a VIP (Very Important Parents) session on Friday the 24th from 7 pm - 9 pm with a grazing table provided and the opportunity to bring along your choice of drinks. During this event, we will auction off the class artwork. Tickets to this event are $15 and are available on TryBooking (please see Compass notification for a direct link). If you know of anyone who is willing to be our auctioneer, please reach out to me via the office - it would be much appreciated!
We have our BYOD iPad information session next Tuesday, online from 7 pm. This will be facilitated by Andrew Moore. This is primarily aimed at parents of our Year 3 families who will join the program which begins in Year 4, however, if you are interested in hearing about the program please do not hesitate to jump online. Details have been posted on Compass to parents of Year 3 families, but these are also available from the office if you wish to come along.
Please keep an eye out on the key dates page - there are lots of exciting events coming up in the next few weeks! The office staff keep this updated and as a priority on our Compass feed.
