Our awesome Year 2 students have been having a blast exploring the world of figurative language. In the past week, they've been diving into similes, metaphors, alliterations, and personification. Not only can they spot these cool language tricks in their reading, but they're also using them in their own writing.
The latest challenge was a tasty one! Students had to whip up cafe and restaurant menus using figurative language to make the dishes sound extra tempting. Let's just say, their menus made our mouths water! Kudos to these creative kiddos!
