Our first excursion - Royal Park Excursion
As part of our OLA- Health unit we went to the Royal Park Nature Playground with the help and support of lots of family helpers (a huge thank you for your time and effort). The students are learning about how to keep their bodies healthy, including the importance of movement in doing so.
The Preps were all very excited to be heading out, despite the weather, and listened carefully to the expectations that were set for our walk to and from, and time at the park. Everyone showed excellent road safety, using walking feet to cross the road in between the white lines when there's a green man. All that walking between campuses has paid off!
At the park, the kids had the chance to roll down the 'rolly hill' (and collect a fair bit of grass while they were at it!), and play on the playground. It was fantastic to see all the students supporting each other, taking turns to line up for the slide, and using kind and caring words.
Dear Preps, well done on your first excursion! They can be very tiring - especially when you have to walk there! You did a great job of sticking together and helping one another out so everyone could have the best day.
