Blessing of statues and our inaugural Founders Day.

Last Friday, 20 October Holy Trinity held another event in conjunction with our 60 years celebration of HTS with our first Founders Day and the blessing of our founders statues: St John Baptist de La Salle and Catherine McAuley. All Students were involved in a number of activities including watching a video about our school and its history, inclass tasks as well as a variety of games outside. At 11am, a liturgy was held for the blessing of our two new founders statues. Many guests were present, including past principals, teachers and representatives from the De La Salle Brothers and Sisters of Mercy. Thank you to all those who attended, to our Youth Minister Bridie, Year 9 students for their organisation of the day, and to all the students for their participation in our first Founders Day.

Crazy Sock Day for Catholic Mission

The theme chosen by Pope Francis for World Mission Month is from Luke’s Gospel: “Hearts on fire, feet on the move.” Mission Week is being celebrated this week and is a chance to have fun, learn more about important issues of mission and justice, and to participate in and donate to our Socktober Crazy Sock Day.

This Friday the 27 October, students are encouraged to wear a pair of crazy, colourful and creative socks, while bringing in a Gold Coin Donation to support Catholic Mission. Each year HTS supports Catholic Mission with a monetary donation during the month of October. During Socktober, students will learn about, pray and financially support children and communities in need around the world.
