Physical Education 

Grade Prep

 

In Physical Education class, students are actively engaged in improving their fundamental motor skills, with a particular focus on throwing and catching. The atmosphere is filled with energy as the grade prep students enthusiastically practise different fundamental motor skills. 

 

Grade 1/2

 

In the Physical Education, the 1/2 students engage in dynamic rotations aimed at developing a multifaceted skill set. With a primary focus on fundamental motor skills, the rotation includes dedicated sessions for throwing and catching, two-handed strikes, and forehand strikes.  Through these rotations, the 1/2 students are not only refining their physical abilities but also developing a foundation for sportsmanship and collaborative learning, setting the stage for a positive approach to physical fitness and skill development.

 

Grade 3/4

 

The grade 3/4 students eagerly practice soccer skills in their Physical Education class. The field is filled with laughter and the sound of soccer balls as they focus on improving techniques like dribbling, passing, and shooting.  Overall, the P.E class provides a fun and active environment for the grade 3/4 students to develop their soccer skills and enjoy the camaraderie of playing together.

 

Grade 5/6

 

The 5/6 students enthusiastically continue their soccer SEPEP (Sport Education in Physical Education Program) This approach refines their soccer skills and immerses them in a positive sporting experience. As participants in SEPEP, the 5/6s take on various roles within their teams, including player, coach, referee, and team manager. This multifaceted approach deepens their understanding of soccer and cultivates leadership skills and responsibility. The soccer pitch becomes a dynamic arena where the 5/6 students showcase individual growth in technique and strategy, contributing actively to their teams through collaborative decision-making and communication. The SEPEP program provides a comprehensive and engaging platform for the 5/6s to develop soccer prowess and appreciate the intricacies of team sports.
