New Chickens

During Week 1, our Environment Captains Reesey, Elizabeth and Michael took on the project of improving the chicken coop by making it fox-proof. After successfully raising funds through a lemon cordial sale, they were able to purchase the necessary materials. With the help of Ms Spivak, they installed springs and latches on the gates for added security and reinforced the coop with a mesh floor.

The Captains then sourced two Isa Brown chickens from the Yarra Valley, which have now settled comfortably into their new home at Chatham. We are excited to welcome these additions and look forward to many years of happy, healthy hens!
