OH& S Meetings

The OH&S Committee meets twice per term. The composition includes the elected HSR and Deputy HSR, representatives from each sub-school, a rep from Admin/Therapy, the Principal, Assistant Principals and the OH&S Manager Nominee.

National Safe Work and Mental Health Month

PLEASE CHECK YOUR PIGEON HOLE FOR STAFF RESOURCES.

Check your pigeon holes for essential resources. Throughout October, the OHS Committee and Wellbeing Team will be providing toolkits, materials, and messages. Keep an eye out for these updates!

SUNSMART

As we enter the warmer months this term, it's important to follow SunSmart practices. 

Please ensure they wear wide-brimmed hats, apply sunscreen, and use shaded areas during outdoor activities. Let’s lead by example and help keep everyone safe in the sun! Please refer to these teacher resources:

 You will also find sunsmart resources in your pigeon hole. 

*For classrooms that didn’t collect their new sunscreen bottle at the start of the year, a bottle has been placed in your pigeon hole.*

FIRST AID

New yard duty first aid bum bags 

New yard duty first aid bum bags will be placed in each playground and clearly labeled. I’ll be reaching out to first aiders to ensure they are maintained throughout the term. Please make sure students do not remove these bags. Each yard duty bag will include a contents card and a Concussion Recognition Tool. Additionally, the Red First Aid Bags will also have a First Aid Guide and a Concussion Recognition Tool.

OHS COMMITTEE

The elected members of the OHS committee can accrue Time in Lieu for the meetings and will be financially acquitted for the TIL.

We encourage all staff members to actively participate in reporting any safety concerns they may come across. Your vigilance and proactive approach play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and healthy workplace for us all.
