50th Birthday Celebrations and Christmas Concert
I’d like to take a moment to reflect on the wonderful day we recently had at our 50th Birthday Celebration and Christmas Concert. It was a true celebration of our school community, and it couldn’t have been the success it was without the contributions of so many.
A special thank you goes to Jess Skarratt, who took on the role of emcee with enthusiasm and professionalism. Jess did an outstanding job keeping us on schedule, ensuring the event ran smoothly, and engaging everyone with her vibrant energy. We are so grateful for her time and effort in making the day so memorable.
I would also like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all our school staff and our amazing P&C Association. Their ongoing commitment to our school is truly inspiring, and their dedication plays a vital role in creating the vibrant, supportive environment we all value so much.
A massive thank you goes out to the families and local businesses who generously donated prizes for the P&C raffles and contributed donations to the P&C for the day. Your kindness and support make a real difference in enhancing the resources and experiences we can offer to our students and a big thank you to Sarah from our tuckshop for her amazing cake.
Finally, thank you to Mr. Herman Vorster MP for his very generous donation in supplying the face painter for the day. The children absolutely loved it, and it added a special touch to our event.
Events like this remind us of the incredible community spirit we have here at Palm Beach State School. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making it such a success.
School Fees 2025
Our school has made the important decision not to charge school fees in 2025 to help alleviate the growing cost-of-living pressures on families. We recognise the challenges many households are facing and want to ensure that every student has access to quality education without additional financial stress. By removing this expense, we hope to ease the burden on families while continuing to provide the same level of support and resources for our students. Thank you for your ongoing partnership and support as we strive to make education as inclusive and accessible as possible.

School Uniform 2025
As you prepare for the upcoming school year and purchase new school shoes over the holidays, I’d like to remind you of our school uniform policy regarding footwear. Recently, we have noticed a decline in the consistent wearing of all-black shoes, and we ask for your support in ensuring that students wear all-black shoes, with no white soles, inlays, or other coloured markings. This is an important part of maintaining our cohesive and professional school image. Thank you for your cooperation in supporting our uniform expectations. If you have any questions about the policy, please feel free to contact the school office.
Uniform Shop will be opened on Wed 22nd, Thu 23rd & Fri 24th January 2025 from 8:30am to 12:30pm. There will be a slight price increase on uniform shop items on 1st December 2024.
Bike Safety
As we continue to prioritize the safety and well-being of everyone in our school community, I want to address an important issue concerning safety on our school grounds. Recently, there have been several near misses involving students riding bikes, scooters, e-bikes, and e-scooters within the school premises. To ensure everyone's safety, we kindly ask that all students dismount from their bikes, scooters, and e-scooters before entering the school grounds. Additionally, when leaving the school, please take extra care to watch out for others, especially our younger students who may be less aware of their surroundings. Your cooperation in reinforcing these safety measures is greatly appreciated.
2025 Book Pack Drop Off
On Thursday 23rd January from 3-4pm we invite you to drop off your child’s book pack box to their 2025 classroom.
Teachers will be in their classrooms during this time to facilitate the drop off process. If you are unable to drop the book pack off at this time, please bring it on the first day of school in 2025: Tuesday 28th January.
