A Memorable Celebration
Last week, the Year 12 Boarding House Dinner was an unforgettable evening celebrating our graduating boarders and the vibrant community they’ve built. Each full-time boarder shared personal reflections filled with gratitude and thoughtful insights about their time at the Boarding House, making the evening all the more special.
A highlight of the night was the presentation of the prestigious Anita Macdonald Award to Bella Chow. Bella was recognised for her compassion, respect, and empathy, particularly towards the girls of Mac House. She embodies the values we hold in our boarding community and College at large.
The event also included heartfelt reflections from Dr. Andrew Chow and Cathy Mahar, who shared their perspectives on how boarding has impacted their children's lives and enriched their families.
Guests enjoyed a delightful three-course meal accompanied by beautiful piano music from Ariana Taylor, setting a warm and celebratory atmosphere. A short video compilation highlighting cherished moments of our Year 12 boarders’ journey added a perfect touch to the night. This memorable evening truly honoured our Year 12 boarders and the strong bonds formed throughout their time with us.
Thank you to our Year 12 Boarders, who thoughtfully donated a new bell to be rung each night to begin the dinner service. This was a very generous offer and will be used regularly.
Ariana Taylor is our Boarder of the Week. Ariana played the piano during the Year 12 Boarder’s Dinner last week. Her talent is extraordinary and was duly recognised. I am so very grateful for Ariana’s service to the College. Thank you, Ariana, and we wish you all the very best in your future endeavours with the piano.
